Beef Stroganoff With Pasta

rump steak cut into strips
2 rashers
bacon sliced and trimmed
1 medium
onion finely chopped (150g)
1 clove
garlic crushed
1 cup
sliced button mushrooms (70g)
1 tbsp
cornflour
375 ml
can NESTLÉ CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk
2 tbsp
tomato paste
200 g
spaghetti cooked according to packet directions

Method

  1. heat oil in a frying pan over high heat. brown beef in batches; remove from pan, keep warm.

  2. to the same pan, add bacon, onion, garlic and mushrooms; cook 2 minutes.

  3. blend cornflour with 1 tablespoon of NESTLÉ CARNATION light & creamy evaporated milk. add to pan with remaining milk, tomato paste and beef; bring to the boil. reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. serve with spaghetti.
