Coconut Crème Caramel

3/4 cup (165g)

NESTLÉ CARNATION light & creamy coconut flavoured evaporated milk
1/2 cup (125ml)
water extra
1/4 cup (55g)
sugar extra
egg whites


  1. preheat oven to 180°c/160°c fan forced.

  2. combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until sugar has dissolved; bring to the boil, continue boiling without stirring until mixture turns golden brown. remove from heat, pour caramel into 6 x ¾ cup (190ml) capacity ovenproof dishes, rotate dishes individually to coat base and sides. set aside.

  3. whisk together Light & Creamy Coconut flavoured evaporated milk, extra water, extra sugar, eggs and egg whites; pour custard into dishes. place dishes in a baking pan with hot water coming halfway up sides of dishes.

  4. bake 20 to 25 minutes or until just set. remove dishes from pan, cool; refrigerate 2 hours. turn out onto serving dishes to serve.
