Vienna Toast With Breakfast Fruits

NESTLÉ CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk
1/4 tsp
cinnamon
2 tbsp
butter

bananas unpeeled
strawberries and blueberries to serve if desired

Method

  1. cut bread into 8 x 2cm thick slices.

  2. in a large bowl, whisk together eggs, NESTLÉ CARNATION light & creamy evaporated milk and cinnamon. dip bread into egg mixture and allow to stand for 1 minute.

  3. heat butter in a large frying pan. cook as many bread slices as possible in a single layer until golden on both sides, approx. 5 minutes. remove from pan, keep warm and repeat with remaining bread.

  4. cook bananas under a preheated grill for 5 minutes or until skins have blackened, turning once. remove from the skin and slice in half lengthways.

  5. place 2 slices of toast on each serving plate, and top with banana. if desired, serve dusted with icing sugar, fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup
